hey everyone!
thanks for the great emails! they were fun to read..as for me i have some new news thats really cool..you know how i said i was staying in espinar for christmas..well i got a change. im oficially in pitumarca now which is a group of people about a fourth of the size of espinar. the church is new here, and there is only 33 members..well 34 now with the baptism of rut that we had yesterday..our house here has an extra room, and that is the chapel! it fits about 40 people max, and is known as a house chapel. the members that we have are really excited to work, and if we work really hard here we can become a branch and maybe build a chapel! it is absolutely amazing here and is the coolest place ive probly ever been, and let alone lived. it still rains alot and stuff here but its alright cuz we have the gear we need. the pics i sent are of a baptism we had here in the river! it was amazing, and were looking at having lots more here in pitumarca. i have a new companero elder caƱi from peru. he has the same time as me in the mission which is crazy, but we work really hard together which is awesome and i think that we´ll have some good success together. im going to call the 24th to give you a heads up at what time ill call and stuff on the 25th..tomorw were going to cusco for a christmas dinner and stuff so that should be a ton of fun...oh and yes i got your package mom and it was amazing thanks! the sweatshirt is perfect too because its really warm. i got a letter from bro and sis lake and everyone too so thanks guys! dont have much else but just getting started here in pitumarca! im looking forward to talking on the phone! love you all!

hey everyone!

I had another good week here in espinar, but it is raining a ton!!! more than ive ever experienced in my life, and it is freezing cold too..i guess its going to rain like this everyday until march or april so ill get used to it eventually i guess. oh and we had changes in the mission this week, but i found out ill be here in espinar these next 6 weeks. its crazy that im already in my 3rd change! im sad to say that the baptisms didnt go through this saturday, but were making progress with alot of people and have to couples that want to get married and baptized for christmas! hopefully we´ll get them prepared in time..i found out though out of all the missions in south america though the mission cusco baptizes the least amount of persons..were working hard as a mission though to improve this statistic..oh and im super excited to call you guys on christmas! its only 12 days away! i found out i can call the 23rd though to conirm the time, so illcall then cuz im not really sure the time difference..oh but how do i call collect? i have no idea how...and for future packages ive found that the best things tosend food wise are things like nutrigrains and peanutbutter crackers..i can only eat so much chocolate ha but the kids here loved it because of course i shared a little. oh and the puppy in the pic was from one of the members..they had four puppies it was cool. not much else here, but were just gonna keep working hard to prepare these people for their baptisms! until next week!

hey everyone!
I had another good week here in the mission, and just to answer some ofthe questions you have..it really doesnt get too hot here because of the altitude. we wear sweatshirts in the morning cuz its a little cold but in the afternoons its perfect. i think were at something like 11 thousand feet but im not too sure..i just know its too high for trees to grow here..oh and just contact solution for soft lenses will work. im pretty sure any brand works..but i know of one for sure is renu. oh and i have a question for everyone too. a girl here had her whole body lock up and was freezing cold so their family was wondering what its called and how to treat it because they cant really afford to go to the hospital..its only happend twice in here life, but her fists were clenched and she was freezing..shes beter now but her family just wants to know..oh and janet your new car is awesome by the way!! i really like the color and everything. it looks really fast too..oh and dad whats your home number for when i call for christmas? im pretty sure its cheaper for me to call the home phone. and mom do you still have the home phone?? just need to make sure before christmas. oh and aunt sandy what is your home address so i can eventually send you guys a letter? this week we just worked hard like always, and got some good new investigators..we have to peope planned for baptisms this saturday, so i hope that they´ll go through. the ward here in espinar is really struggling so were trying to help out the members alot right now. anyways i love you all and thanks for the support! until next week..

hey everyone!

So this week was really mazing for me and i had some really cool experiences!! first off dad i got your package and thank you soo much! it truly was amazing and i think ive gained a few pounds this week cuz ive been snacking every second of the day! oh and you asked aout my debit account, and its through chase..but just to let you know dad and mom your going to have letters coming for christmas because i just dont have alot of time to write before that. its not too far away though! and i cant think of anything else i need here though so i guess just surprise me..anything is great! but this week was amazing because we had our first two baptisms on saturday! Josefa and yessica..i baptized josefa who is the older lady in the pics and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! all together there was 5 baptisms on saturday, and there literally wasnt room in the baptism room for everyone to watch..the whole ward was there practically, and the support they gave the new converts was amazing! The baptism really helped to inspire me even more, and it was awesome getting the chance the oportunity to help someone find the gospel and to get the opportunity to baptize them..it really makes me want to go out and work hard everyday, because the happiness those converts now is so much stronger than before, and even though weve had to walk around espinar all day everyday and had tons of up and downs, it was all worth it when they were baptized..ill work as hard as i need to to be able to have people experience what these people have this week! all together this week was amazing and my desire to do this work has grown soo much. the blessings that the gospel brings to families is incredible. Im doing great here in espinar everyone and thanks again for your support! i love you all!
