Hey Everyone!
So this week was another good one! we are making alot of improvements here in our sector, and are really trying to help all the other missionarys in their areas at the same time. its alot of hard work, but in our training session today i really think that we were able to help them out a ton! i hope we see results from it this next week. i also completed my year this week which was kind of crazy. i dont really feel any different, but its just weird to think that i only have a year left. if i keep working as hard as i am now though, i think ill have alot more amazing experiences. oh and everytime a missionary completes a year they have to burn a shirt, so that was alot of fun. i actually did it the day after i completed my year though, just cuz we had too much to do the day before. anyways, it was a great week, and im looking forward to helping out the ward more this week. there are only 40 people coming to church here right now, so we have a ton of work to do...oh and the pic of the lake is titicaca! and that city is puno..the other pics are kinda obvious ha.

Hey everyone!

So this week a bunch of stuff happend, and alot has changed. im
oficially in a place called Juliaca, which is like the coldest place
in the mission, but its been bearable..im a zone leader now too, which means that i am in charge of all 22  missionaries here in this area!its alot of responsibility, but i like it alot, and even though I oficially have zero time to sleep instead of a little its alot of fun. oh and something awesome is that i have a cell phone to use now too! thats a big bonus of being a leader..and something really crazy is that i have a white companion! his name is elder eggleston from california/utah. he is a really cool guy, and we get along really well. oh and he plays golf for byu hawaii, so we have a ton in common! lets just say that we never run out of conversations..i showed up here in juliaca, in a sector called rinconada, where before the missionarys hadnt done anything, so i have to start from scratch which is pretty rough, but also its a great privelage that i have because i can really turn things around with alot of hard work. there havent been baptisms here for a while either, but im hoping that i can turn that around as well with the help of the lord. we are working our butts off though, so i hope that well be able to see some results soon. so beinga zone leader now, we get to do some really cool stuff. this week another seventy of the church came to juliaca, elder uceda, and i got to pick him up from the airport here!!!! then we got to drive with him to puno which is an hour away for a conference that we had with him and about 100 missionarys, which was amazing! on the way to puno though, we got the chance to talk a ton, and we even stopped at ancient incan ruins to take pics with him! lets just say that that was one of my favorite experiences by far! after the meeting with all the missionarys. The like 10 of us zone leaders that were there got to go to a private meeting with elder uceda, and president calderon and his wife. There we got to talk more and share some ideas of how we can improve the mission, and it was really cool. all in all it was an amzing week. I have alot of work to do here, and have been given a huge resposibility, so now its just time to get to work..

July 4, 2011 (Happy Independence Day!)

Hey Everyone!

So today was an amazing week. the bad part was that it was raining and freeeeeeeezing cold alllllll weeek, but we still had some amazing experiences. first of all, elder nash came and talked to the whole mission. he is one of the seventies of the church which is like a big time leader to say the least. he shared alot of stuff with us, and when he talked about the atonement of christ i was wanting to cry the whole time. it was an amazing experience to be able to be with him and shake his hand and take pics with him and everything. we werent planning on having baptisms this week, bnut saturday the coolest thing ever happend. we were teaching gods plan for us here in the earth to a family, and the daugters said they wanted to be baptized. we were planning on having their baptisms at the end of the month or something, but they told us, ¨no, we want to get baptized tomorow.¨ we quickly got them ready and had an amazing baptismal for them and one other kid that just turned eight, and it was amazing. like 70 people were there which was really cool, and all in all yesterday was one of the most spiritual days of my life. the 2 girls that got baptized too are amazing and are really excited to be members of the church. anyways ya it was a really great week, and somehow were already in the last week of changes so i let you know next week if anythings changed.
